What your sessions would cover
My sessions are designed to tailor art tutoring to the individual, allowing students to choose their own themes, artists to research, and mediums to work with.
I find that helping learners choose topics that inspire them personally makes the learning experience more enjoyable than traditional school settings. Furthermore, it helps them as individuals express themselves.
Even when personalised, my guidance can follow a structured GCSE course, meeting all assessment objectives.
I offer a range of techniques and mediums, including:
GCSE sketchbook and portfolio work includes:
- Regularly experimenting, reviewing, and refining their own artwork
- Applying an understanding of artists and art in a wider context to their own work
- Exploring their own ideas
- Preparing for their Art GCSE exams.
Annotation is a crucial component of the GCSE Art & Design curriculum.
I specialise in providing structured assistance with sketchbook annotation, a task that can pose unique challenges for students with dyslexia.
