Neurodiversity is a relatively new term, which encompasses all specific learning difficulties (SpLD), many of which co-occur or overlap.
As a tutor, I have many dyslexia friendly books, available to learners, that promote the view that neurological differences are to be recognised and respected as any other human variation. I am committed to the ethos that neurodiversity makes the world a more interesting place and helps form an array of viewpoints that add value to our overall understanding of the world.
Furthermore, many great philosophers, poets, artists and scientists throughout history would now be classified as SpLD.
I want learners to see that it is possible to achieve in everyday life, not in spite of, but also because of dyslexia.
